The Nevada State Board of Education has established new requirements for graduation from high school that are taking the place of the Nevada High School Proficiency Exams. As required by state law NRS 390.600, students will take four EOC exams in the content areas of English Language Arts/Literacy, Mathematics, and Science (class of 2020 and beyond). Students are eligible to take the EOC exams in the spring, at the conclusion of the aligned math, English, and/or science courses taken. EOCs measure how well a student understands the subject areas tested as they align to the Nevada Academic Content Standards. The following guides and video explain Nevada’s new graduation requirements and how to understand your child’s achievement level with each subject assessed.
